The Austrian Development Cooperation is offering a scholarship opportunity for students from developing countries and ADC Priority Countries to study Diploma programs in Hospitality Management Module or Tourism Management Module. The ADC gives students every year scholarships from developing countries to assist with tuition fees and general charges.

Benefits of the scholarships

    • Tuition fee
    • Accommodation
    • Flight costs
    • Health insurance
    • Meals from Monday – Sunday
    • Pocket money of approx. € 205 per month

Not included and needs to be covered by the student:

Trip to ITB Berlin: In March an optional excursion to the ITB Berlin, the world’s largest Tourism Fair is organized by the Institute. It is highly recommended to participate, as ITB is the meeting point of the worldwide Tourism Industry. Approximate costs: € 290.-
Personal Expenses: Kindly bear in mind that you are going to need some money for your personal expenditure and entertainment while here in Salzburg.
Deposit: For accommodation and appliances in the Kavalierhaus a deposit of
€ 200,- will be charged on arrival. It will be refunded at the end of the course.
  • Developing Countries Scholarship Covers
    • Tuition fee
    • Health insurance
    • Meals from Monday – Friday
    • Pocket money of approx. € 205 per month
  • Not included and needs to be covered by the student:
    • Accommodation fee (€ 1.644,00)
    • Food: You have to cover the costs of food during the weekends and holidays by yourself.
    • Travel expenses – from your country to Salzburg and back home
    • Visa expenses (for Residence Permit and Visa D)

Eligibility Criteria of the Scholarship

  • All applicants must be between 18 – 35 years of age
  • Must have a GCE – A’Level or equivalent, which enables enrollment at a University
  • Applicants must have a minimum of one-year‘ s experience within the tourism and hospitality industry
  • All Non-native English speakers must have an English qualification e.g. TOEFL, Cambridge 1st Certificate, IELTS or equivalent

HOW TO APPLY

  • Download the ITH application form by clicking here. Austrian embassies and consulates have this form as well.
  • Application Process – all applications should be sent directly to the Institute via post.
  • The submission deadline is the 1st of May every year, which means the Institute has to receive the application latest by May 1st.
  • Confirmation – You would be informed about the result of your application by the end of June. If you were awarded a scholarship you will receive a letter of acceptance.
