Opportunities Worldwide in collaboration with our international partner The Way of Life Cambodia in Cambodia, Asia is awarding the Global Citizen Recognition Award to young people making positive impacts in their communities. The award recognizes Teachers, Scholars, Entrepreneurs, philanthropic, Artist, Change-Makers, Youth Leaders, etc working to make the world a better place.

A Global Citizen is someone who identifies with being part of an emerging world community and whose actions contribute to building this community’s values and practices. If you know any changemaker nominate them or if you are, nominate yourself let the world hear your story. We would like to hear your story, share with the world how you making an impact in your environment

What are we looking for?

We looking for people working on one of the major global issues outlined by the Global Citizen Network below:

  1. Girls & Women
    • Currently, there’s no country in the world where girls and women have equal opportunities for boys and men.
  2. Health
    • We believe that where you live shouldn’t decide whether you live — everyone deserves access to good healthcare. 
  3. Education
    • Most importantly every child should be able to dream big — and to do that, they need quality education. 
  4. Finance & Innovation
    • Yes It’s possible to end extreme poverty by 2030 — but only if governments, businesses, and philanthropists invest $350 billion extra
  5. Food & Hunger
    • We must ensure that every child should know where their next meal will come from, but climate change threatens the fight to end hunger. 
  6. Water & Sanitation
    • Facts: Clean water, a place to “poo,” and waste systems are not too much to ask.
  7. Environment
    • According to the report, the world’s poorest people suffer most from the climate crisis, despite contributing the least to the problem.  
  8. Citizenship
    • Every day around the world, countless people face daily inequalities — from the LGBTI community to children with disabilities.
