Applications for the 6th Leadership Workshop on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) organized by the Asian-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) under the auspices of UNESCO in Seoul, South Korea is now in progress. The workshop will bring together Changemakers, Policymakers, Global Citizenship Education Advocates, Entrepreneurs, etc to provide them with the necessary tools in solving the many issues facing our global village.
While our environment confronts challenges and threats that demand collective efforts from the international community, promoting global citizenship is more important than ever to solving the problems and improving our world to make it a more equitable, prosperous and sustainable place for all. With consideration of these challenges, the global community adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with September 2015 outlining global goals and aspirations for 2030.
In 2020, the 6th GCED Youth Leadership Workshop will concentrate on inspiring young people as GCED trainers/educators and finding effective strategies to optimize the commitment of youth in promoting global citizenship. The workshop, held in Seoul, will bring together 35 diverse youth leaders around the world, including those from developing countries and members of marginalized groups, and the participating youth will be fully engaged in dialog and capacity building training for five days.

🌍 Eligibility Criteria
➲ Open to all 137 ODA Recipient Countries
➲ Be between the ages of 19 years to 28 years old (between 1992-2001)
➲ Must have a valid passport and able to obtain a South Korea visa
➲ At least two (2) years of active experience in youth activities
➲ All applicants must complete at least one online course from the GCED Online Campus with “Becoming Global Citizens for a Sustainable Society” course mandatory.
